    It's such  a simple idea that you wonder why no one has ever thought of it before. Young students from ø Brazil want to learn English, and  elderly Americans living in retirement homes are ofter lonely and want someone to talk to. So why not bring them together?

    The Brazilian language school has done just that the school set up a programme for your Brazilians and older Americans living in ø Chicago to meet and chat online. The lessons are recorded as private YouTube videos, so that the students' teachers can evaluate their progress.

    The students have improved their English, but perhaps the biggest gain has been the opportunity to  bridge the gap between generations.
